Dan Majerle, former Phoenix Suns player and current Suns assistant coach, has kept himself busy with Majerle’s Sports Grill, a popular downtown restaurant known for its half-pound burgers and casual, sports-oriented atmosphere full of Suns and Arizona Diamondbacks fans. Catch games on one of the bar’s TVs while you chow down on a Mama Majerle’s Burger ($8.99), made with mushrooms, grilled onions and mozzarella. The bar also has fostered artistic growth in the community with the Studio, an open mike for vocalists and poets, with a live band backing them, the first and third Wednesdays of every month.
