You thought gambling was big in Las Vegas? It’s the nightclub scene that’s getting all of the attention now, with its world famous DJ’s, multi-floor venues the size of football fields, unparalleled mega-glitz and all night heart-pounding parties. Nine out of the ten top nightclubs in America are now located in Las Vegas, which is stealing New York’s moniker as the city that never sleeps. How to navigate the path of the 50 + super clubs in Sin City? Just to make things easier, we’ve pared down that long list to give you the top five places to hit on your trip to Vegas---so you can see for yourself why clubbing has become a multi-billion dollar industry here and is attracting the seriously hip—and younger—set.

First Night: XS Nightclub at Encore Las Vegas

You might as well hit the king of clubs your first night in town because XS offers an excellent overview of the club scene. The décor is unarguably spectacular: It’s a 40,000 square-foot venue, with an architectural layout inspired by the curves of the human body. The décor alone is mind numbing, with gold leaf sculptures of female torsos lining the bar, gold-plated chandeliers and gold-embossed crocodile VIP booths. Two unique bottle service choices are available from booths around the dance floor or by the cabanas surrounding the resort’s pool. More than 40 top-ranking DJs are in residence here, including Dirty South and will.i.am. XS is a great place for weekends when the glitterati is in attendance, but Monday’s IN industry night is also a big draw.

It also offers a stunning view of the Strip from a 14,000-square-foot terrace. There’s a lot to explore here, but one of the biggest draws is routine visits by celebrities and surprise performances by some big names. It opened in 2005, but continues to pack in the crowds. Check out their schedule for regularly scheduled celebrity performances.
