pros:Fun Atmosphere, good music, cool people
cons:Dance Floor was too crowded and not enough pretty girls

You know that you are at a good party when the people that are usually The Party come to just hang out. Lil Jon, DJ Chuckie, Tyson Beckford, and many more celebrities, as well as tech executive giants were all in attendance for this event. The best part of the night was when Nick Cannon took many of us down memory lane, playing New Edition, Bobby Brown, Jackson 5, Michael Jackson Classics, and then right back into the hot hits, dropping the newest Lil Jon with him live on the microphone. There was a need for more pretty girls, but the overall vibe was good enough to look past that fact and have a good time.

pros:Impromptu Performances, Great Events, Good Music
cons:Overcrowded Dance Floor, Long General Admission Line

New York meets Las Vegas is the best way to describe 1OAK Night Club, which is just steps away from the North Door Valet Entrance of the Mirage Casino Resort. The location was originally Jet Nightclub, owned and operated by Light Group, now has been transformed and a partnership between NYC's Butter Group and Vegas's Light Group. The club is 16,000 square feet of excellence, full of beautiful art pieces and concepts, a lounge area and back room that usually plays Hip Hop. The lounge area has a full service bar, with plenty of room to move around and overlooks the dance floor. The back room is very underrated, with its own bar and DJ, with tables for bottle service along the surrounding walls. The main room is great, giving you the feel of a small club, but in a big club. Along the front wall, is a full service bar facing the dance floor island, that has seating all the way around it, separated by ropes and security. The DJ Booth, which doubles as the stage many times for impromptu and scheduled performances, is in the center of the room, that overlooks the dance floor. The most sought after, VIP Tables, The Gucci Row of the club, are just behind the DJ Booth. 1OAK consistently has some of the best parties and events on The Las Vegas Strip, usually playing a very well rounded music format, and catering to what the clientele wants to party too! Security is great, Waitresses are hot, Bussers are quick, Hosts are nice, and the Bathrooms are always clean. Great place to have a great time!

pros:Hip Hop Music, Good looking staff, Always a good vibe
cons:Too Dark at Times, DJs play for themselves at times

I love this club. The staff is great, from the hosts at the ropes, to the valets in the restrooms. Its always nice to know that you entering a place of class, with the hosts all well dressed in suits and ties, with nice dress shoes, the waitresses in sexy little black dresses with heels, and the security in nice black suits that fit. The club is very unique in design, with a grand entrance, that can only be reached by going down a long set of escalators, with ropes and hosts awaiting you. There are multiple entrances for patrons, that vary upon just being on the guest list, paying general admission, buying or joining a bottle service table, and simply being a VIP. There are multiple levels, with the top level, having a full service bar in the middle on the back wall, with tables to its right, and across from it, with a view of the entire club. Tables wrap around the highest level, giving each table a view below. There are multiple screens and interactive lighting on the upper level above the DJ, where the sexy dancers of Haze perform when not being used by patrons. The backdrop area also is used for live performances by the major acts that are booked by the venue. The main level, has two full service bars, the main one is the middle on the back wall, and the other is in the back corner on the right side. The dance floor is in the center of the room, with the DJ Booth overlooking it, and tables on all of the surrounding sides. There is a second tier of tables above, making the Mezzanine Level, that is split up into four areas, by staircases and walkways. It is a place that you just have to see, and not be told about, a new age design. The music is normally consistent, top 40, a little house, some R&B, and a lot of Hip Hop. The bathrooms rarely have any kind of wait and are always clean. The Valet Parking drop off is just steps away from the entrance, and the exit is even close when leaving for the night. Haze is a great club, located in Aria, and very much under the radar in comparison to some of the more advertised and bigger venues.

pros:Security is great, Waitresses are hot, Bussers are fast
cons:Inconsistent Music and Ugly Crowd Sometimes

After a late start, Haze started to be the club that I have always known it to be, a fun spot. The fatigue definitely had kicked in, because the room died early and just as fast as it had picked up within a matter of an hour. I did not expect the night to be great in any way, with the club being open two more days than its normally scheduled week. It was good enough for someone and to the average person that didn't frequent Vegas, which is who the customer is during New Years, so good job on working over time last week Haze.

pros:Amazing sound and lighting system, hot waitresses, good music
cons:Long lines for general admission and bathrooms, packed dance floor

Light is the best of the best new nightclubs on The Las Vegas Strip, in regards to staffing, technology, and overall experience. This Venue is a brilliant collaboration between Light Group and Cirque Du Soleil, literally putting beautiful artistry to music. One of the most important things that I believe will contribute to the success of this club, is its unbelievable location inside the Mandalay Bay, which was formally The Rum Jungle Restaurant and Night Club. Just steps away from the main entrance is the Valet for Mandalay Bay and The Hotel, giving their customers quick and easy access. And if you don't want to valet, you can park yourself in the multiple levels of free covered parking in the garage above the entrance. The Light is not terribly difficult to get into, as long as you follow the directions of the signs that are placed in various locations to let you know where to go for entry. After making it pass the two large doors of Light, you will find yourself going in one of two different directions, which is dependent upon you doing bottle service or just coming in to enjoy the bars and lounge areas. General Admission Patrons walk up an elaborate set of illuminated stairs with mirrored walls, that lead you to the fourth level of the club. There are two full service bars that run along the back wall on fourth and fifth levels. There are also free standing high top tables and lounge areas on both of the bar levels too. Bottle Service is the very best way to truly enjoy and take in all of the features of Light. After entering the doors, you are escorted down a hidden hallway with various points of entry to the different tables around the room. I will paint a picture of the club from the view and location of the DJ Booth. The DJ Booth is located just above center of the dance floor, surrounded by huge state of the art LED Screens, that start from the floor, all the way up and around the ceiling. The back wall of where the DJ Booth is a combination of stages for Cirque Du Soleil Performances and Visionary Genius of Interactive Lighting, controlled by the technicians from their booth on the fifth level. Randomly there are acrobatic Cirque Performers popping out from everywhere, sometimes suspended in the air, running up the back wall of the DJ, or simply doing a solo performance on one of the many small stages around the multiple levels of bottle service tables. Dance Floor Level, tables are in the middle of all of the action, with a set of stairs at each corner, and another at the center, with all of them taking you to the mezzanine. The Mezzanine Level, the most popular and sought after, best view of everything, and has the most security too. The third tier, still great tables, overlooking all of the action and much easier to move around. The fourth tier are above and to the sides of the second level, and are kind of their own little party within the party. The lobby level is where the general admission patrons mingle and drink, with an awesome view of the entire club, still being a part of the action. The fifth level of tables are much like a stadium style, can only be reached by walking up a set of stairs on either end, above everyone and seeing everything below, but away from everyone at the same time. The Technicians booth is in the center, where there is a Zip Line that is sometimes used by the guest DJ's to make their entrance or for a Cirque Performer. The Bathrooms are located on the sides of the two bars and always well staffed, for cleanliness and full of amenities. There is security throughout the club, especially in the table areas, and open areas to maintain the flow of the room. The cocktail waitresses are voluptuous and sexy, bussers are fast, security is attentive, dancers are hot, and the hosts are on top of their game every night. The Bottle Service presentations are super cool and over the top, always giving you a memorable experience. Light is the best club on the US West Coast!

pros:Beautiful Women, Awesome Music and Sound System
cons:Long line for General Admission and Bathrooms

Light was by far, the hottest party of the holiday season, and had its coming out party on the very night of December 18, 2013! There were over 1200 people outside of the doors waiting for entry an hour before the opening of the event. It was Las Vegas at its best, wall to wall beautiful groups of women, buffed out guys wearing fitted shirts that were fit, and everyone rocking their absolute best sense of style. The performances were great! Krewella closed out the party with a bang, taking the place to another level, and making the crowd the most important part of their set. I didn't know that it was a pre-recorded event until I noticed all of the cameras, and they had everyone do the countdown. Despite the event being for NYE, everyone was being real and true, enjoying one of the best nights out in Las Vegas of the year.

pros:Extremely hot waitresses, attentive security, good music
cons:Bathroom is not close to the tables, small bottle areas

Its never a bad night in any club when you have Don Johnson buying Champagne bottles that are the same size as a little person; followed by Chris Brown and a few others joining the same section, and continuously buying multiple magnums of Dom Perignon. One of the coolest points in the night was the display of Don Johnson's name on the huge jumbo monitor, as he standing in the DJ Booth on stage with Eric D-Lux and his massive champagne bottle. There is nothing better than everyone being on the same page at a club, from the DJ to the Bussers, with the only intention of making sure their customers have the best experience, which sums up Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas.

pros:Good Music, Great Crowd, Good Vibe
cons:Narrow Walkways, No Big Table Separations

Bank's Holiday Socialite Party was Insane. A very smart use of everything going on, getting the hot girls dressed in bikinis from the IV Party to come over, having two different strip club's Xmas parties, and having their own waitresses dressed as sexy Santa Helpers. The music was on point the entire night, having the Bday Boy himself, DJ Five, play what he loved for a couple of sets, real Hip Hop. It was also super cool to hangout and party with some of Jay Z's Band from the Magna Carter Tour, who stayed an extra night to party in Vegas with us. On a sad note, it was a moment taken out of the night, to observe the very recent death of the beloved casino hosts and long time supporter of Vegas's Nightlife, Owen Choi. It was just a great night to be out, seeing so many friends celebrating life and friendship. Good Job Bank!

pros:Good Music, Hot and Fun Waitresses, Best Bussers
cons:Waiting at the ropes if you don't know or have a host.

Bank is my favorite club in Las Vegas, especially Sunday Nights! I will be honest and let you know that I worked for Light Group for six years and the last project I was a part of was this club. It was originally Light Nightclub, the originator of all the high end clubs on the strip, and the model of which the modern Las Vegas Nightclub is based. The location is one of the best in the city, located just to the right of the North Door Valet Entrance in the Bellagio. There is a small entrance, expanded by its famous velvet ropes, for random customers to approach the front of them, and VIPs to right or at the exit to make their way into the club. Looks and sounds are deceiving, playing at the door is a constant unchanging loop of ok older top 40 music, that can be heard by all, until you get pass the two front giant doors and go up a set of escalators, where you enter another world. The music changes, its far different music from what is playing outside, usually a blend of Top 40, EDM, R&B, but mostly Hip Hop. As you make your way into the main room, you notice an entire wall of Cristal Gold Bottles, 1000 to be exact, incased in glass, with three bottle service tables, which form a nice little lounge and make up the hallway to The Bank. Just as you enter, you notice that you are on the right side and third level of the venue, where there is a full service bar extending all the way down the right back wall. Walking straight in, to the back, you will find a set of stairs that lead you to the fourth level, that has the DJ booth with bottle service areas on each side of it, overlooking the entire night spot. Passing along the back wall, you find yourself on the opposite side of Bank, where there is another full service bar, and waitress station. Behind the bar, completing the left side of the third level, is another bottle service lounge, which is very intimate, away from the mix, but still apart of the action too. Coming to the center of the lobby level, there is a grand case of stairs that take you down to the Mezzanine Level, mostly everyone's favorite tables for bottle service, including the owners. There are large tables on each side of the staircase, embanked along a wall of beautiful glass that has an interactive lighting system that responds to the music, forming an inverted L shape. On the opposite side that forms the Mezz level, there are smaller tables for smaller groups, with the two inner corners having small stages for GoGo Dancers. At the end of the right side, are two more flights of stairs, one set going up to the level 3, and another leading to the dance floor. On the left side, two sets of stairs leading up and down to the other levels too. In the corner of the left side, is an elevator that goes to every level, but more importantly, takes you to the bottom of the club, to the main restrooms, and a little bit of quiet. Going down to the lower level of the main room, is the Dance Floor. There are a set of tables under the balcony area of the fourth level, where there is a ramp in the corner that leads you to the bathroom. On the opposite side of dance floor, the back wall is adorned with the coveted Dance Floor Tables, completing the club. The dancers and cocktail waitresses are all hot and friendly. The Bussers are the biggest assets of Bank, they do and get everything, they definitely deserve and earn their tips. The Security Team is top notch, always keeping your area clear, will walk you to and from the bathroom, and make sure you feel like a VIP. Bank is still a great venue, and still has a strong grip on Sundays!

pros:Hot cocktail waitresses, very nice staff overall
cons:Slow start to the night, Did not play enough hip hop

The Rhino Christmas Party definitely made the night, because there was not much else going on throughout the course of the night. I do have to take into consideration that it is the holiday season and it is always particularly slower at this time in Las Vegas every year. I had never really heard of the DJ, Deniz Koyu, but would recommend him in the future for the amount of energy he brought to the night. It was a good night for December on The Strip!
